An Ordinary Day

Today was one of those days. The kind of day where both socks just can't seem to stay on, and after a few hours of struggling to keep those little feet covered, you finally just give in.

It was a day where we planned to see Grandma in the afternoon. After grabbing baby, baby's car seat, baby bag, and purse, I remembered to check my reflection for two seconds and saw this staring back at me.

If you're a mom, you know what that is. If you're not a mom, you don't want to know. The real beauty is that it was there for about 15 minutes, so it had time to dry and make a spit-up tangle. Oops, I just told you what it was.

It was a day where no one took a nap, and someone spent a decent bit of time fussing.

But we were still smiling. It was just a day, after all. There's time to sleep tonight (right, William? pretty please?).

Today was definitely one of those days.
