Mixed Blessings

Here's a picture of our living room a couple of days after Christmas. Excuse the unstyled room; I was practicing taking indoor pictures and didn't realize I would need to use this picture.

Here's a picture of it two days ago, with all of our furniture and floors removed.

Due to a minor water leak, ALL of the wood floors in our house have to be replaced. We've been staying at Don's parents' house until the new floors are in. It's taken 5 days so far, but everything is supposed to be completed tomorrow.

The leak was bad and a source of stress, but, on the bright side, we get new wood floors! We weren't big fans of the maple wood floors that came with the house, but replacing them wasn't a high priority on the list of how we spend our money. I'm so excited to see the house tomorrow. (And to have William sleep in his own crib, so that maybe he'll sleep more than 3 hours without waking. Maybe.)

Our house is a work in progress...I always have some project underway, though replacing all the wood floors in our home is by far the biggest project.
